Polish-free, low maintenance sheet vinyl coverings from commercial flooring specialist Polyflor's 2000 PUR range has been laid in a classroom - but with a twist. A hopscotch motif and random letters of the alphabet were inset into the floor, using the Polyflor Expressions Design Service which uses computerised water jet cutting techniques to create precise shapes and styles for inlaid decoration. The product is available in sheet and tile in two gauges, 2mm and 2.5mm, and can be welded at the seams and to covered skirtings to create continuous impervious surfaces which offer no sanctuary to dirt and bacteria. Independent tests reveal it to inhibit the growth of MRSA, when used with an effective cleaning regime. The 2000 PUR features homogenous monolayer construction, plus a high quality polyurethane reinforcement which, combined with a closed surface finish, can cut maintenance costs by up to 48%, facilitating a low-cost, polish-free upkeep regime for the lifetime of the floor covering.

A combination of timber and stone effect vinyl tiles from Polyflor have been laid in a new Stewart Miller bookstore in Bangor, County Down. Cherry timber effect planks and Urban Tierra stone effect tiles from the Expona art and design collection have been installed with a curving interface between the two. The collection includes rustic/distressed styles and realistic fruit tree effects with effects including Sandstone, Limestone, and Wet Concrete. A 'multi-border' system provides the facility to create floor designs for every installation

Heavy duty sheet vinyl flooring from Polyflor's 2000 PUR range has been applied at a new wing of the Gravesham Community Hospital in Gravesend. 20 shades are available, each featuring two base shades and two highlighted tones, in sheet or tile and two gauges - 2mm and 2.5mm. Suited to busy environments, Prestige PUR features 16 colours and a non-directional decorative appearance created by combining duotone base chips with two tonal highlight chips for a clean, bright appearance. Wood effect vinyl tiles from Polyflor Expona art and design collection have been installed in a canteen and learning centre at Iggesund Paperboard in Workington. The collection includes 60 wood effect, stone effect and art and design colourways with textured and embossed finishes. Available in a variety of tile and plank sizes in 3mm gauge with a 0.7mm wear layer, the collection features a specially developed polyurethane surface treatment for long term maintenance cost savings.
