Protan claims it will 'revolutionise' roofing for the UK offsite construction market with the launch of ProFab roofing solutions.
ProFab combines Protan’s membrane technology and production with over 20 years experience of membrane prefabrication. Applications range from prefabricated aircraft shelters to 10,000 cubic litre water containment bags.
Utilising this high technology welding capability capable of withstanding intense stresses, ProFab has been developed as a bespoke roofing solution that is tailor made for each installation.
Detailed design ensures that the prefabricated roofing membrane is applied quickly and easily, reducing time and production costs.
The mechanical application requires no glue with consequent health, safety and environmental benefits. It also maximises safe access for periodic inspection.
Single -ply roofing specialist Protan has launched two new roofing systems for the UK market, Provac and Prosip.
Provac, a prefabricated vacuum roofing system, consists of a loosely laid membrane with fastening only around the perimeters and penetrations. Strategically located vents act as pressure release valves, so the stronger the outside wind, the greater the suction to the substrate.
Most suitable for schools and airports, Prosip is a long span solution and comprises of large bespoke insulated panels that reduce the need for internal steel work and increasing the versatility of the internal space.
