For the ceilings of a hotel in Scotland, some 3000m of Rockfon Sonar Monolith, Lunar and Dekor have been installed. Sonar was specified for the arena, leisure facilities, and the spa area. In the 650-seat arena, the control of sound pollution was important in the specification. High sound absorption and acoustic control is offered from the Rockfon Sonar ceiling alongside non-hygroscopic properties. Additionally, as the arena is a public venue, safety from fire was required. The high density white matt painted ceiling is made from 100% stone wool which meets the legislation set down for fire resistance. Moisture resistance of up to 100% humidity is also achieved with the ceiling.
