After a six month extension and refurbishment programme an impressive new showroom has been unveiled by Mercedes-Benz in Blackpool. Mirage (Ceilings & Partitioning) installed Rockfon's Pacific stone wool semi concealed (E15) ceiling system throughout. The system is said to be well known for its good aesthetics and ease of installation. Pacific has a light reflection of 83% and diffuses light in a way that make spaces bright and inviting to enter. It does not burn and can withstand more than 1000?C for longer than two hour without melting. The light tiles are claimed to be easier to cut and handle than wet felted mineral fibre ceiling products. They also offering improved acoustic benefits.

At the new Derby City General Hospital, some 16,0000m of Rockfon ceilings from the company's MediCare range have already been specified. The RockLink 24 and 24 Enhanced Corrosion Resistant grid systems were used together with the RockLink Maxi-Span system, which is created specifically for use in corridors. Primary grids are not required for the RockLink Maxi-Span system, saving on installation time as well as providing a more monolithic appearance. Manufactured from stone wool, Medicare tiles resist moisture and bacteria without the need for chemical additives in their core, or surface treatment, in order to provide micro-organism resistance.

Recently installed at Chelsea Flower Show's Rockwool Garden Room is a Rockfon Sonar Ceiling System. With a glazed, curved elevation and insulated roof, the Garden room was the focal point of the 150m garden. The Sonar D Ceiling System is manufactured from 100% Rockwool stone wool with solid beech used to form a linear bandraster grid into which the 1800mm by 600mm tiles are integrated. This creates a monolithic ceiling with clean lines and the white painted surface offers a smooth matt finish. Thermal insulation is achieved by the Rockwool mineral wool with the resistance to heat transfer characteristics assisting energy efficiency. The requirements for sustainability are met as the product is recyclable and made from natural materials. Acoustically, the material's formulation counteracts the hard floors within the Garden Room.
