Restoration of Moor Street railway station in Birmingham included modernisation of the station?s facilities including the booking office in the fine vaulted entry hall. Designed to complement the existing architecture, a new ticket office work-station was supplied by Sonic Windows. Staff protection from theft, germs and draughts is given by a multi-laminated glass screen, but the large clear window area and intercom system allow the traveller easy communication with staff. The window has an induction loop fitted to the frame for hearing aid users.
