Approval from Paragon Joinery has been given to a new glazing tape by Tremco-Illbruck that has been developed for use with its new Virtuoso timber window system. The new profiles are available in a timber-only version or with an external Renolit pvc foil. Virtuoso tape comprises a closed cell foam coated on both sides with a pressure sensitive adhesive that is UV and moisture resistant. It has a high elasticity and its cohesive strength ensures that a durable seal is created between the glazed unit and profile, bonding the glass into the timber system. Quick to apply, the tape incorporates a non-tearing filmic liner to aid positioning during assembly of the window system.
