Speed and simplicity are said to be central to Tremco illbruck's latest offering for the contract flooring industry, Treadfast Kwiklay is a reinforced PVC underlay that provides a moisture resistant barrier across a variety of substrates. It is supplied in 25 metre rolls of 1.45 metre width which are loose laid across the floor. The material is cut into the wall all around the perimeter and the joints butted together before being sealed with waterproof tape. Critical to its performance is the presence of resin peduncles on the underside which raises the fibreglass membrane of the sub floor.

Boasting that its product provides high performance bonding solutions for a variety of applications, Tremco Illbruck says the Webbfix range is ideal for the building industry. 'The products are all one-component, moisture curing adhesives that offer extremely effective bonding when used with wood and most commonly used building materials including concrete, brickwork and PU foams. 'The latest addition, Webbfix Fast Set Liquid PU Adhesive, has an open time of approximately five minutes, with a full cure time of around 20 minutes. The company said this was a 'significantly faster open and curing time than the standard Webbfix PU product'. It comes in a plastic bottle with an in-built nozzle to assist when being applied.

A new watertight expansion jointing seal with large movement accommodation has been launched by Tremco Illbruck. The seal is intended for use in floors and concrete structures and basements. Known as Compriband Hydrospan, the sealing tape is a hydrostatic water pressure resistant sealant capable of resisting a 10m head of hydrostatic pressure specifically resistant, the company says, to both positive and negative pressure. The material comprises high strength closed cell durable foam together with a flexible damp resistant epoxy adhesive, offering 100% watertight expansion joint, said to also be chemically resistant.
