Daldorch House School in East Aryshire , which was established by The National Autistic Society in 1998, now features Fermacell building board products due to its combination of fire protection and acoustic properties.
The project includes the conversion of an existing stable block to create classrooms and the creation of a new build residential block.
Some 4000m? of 10mm Fermacell board will be used on the project. It has a unique composite structure, with cellulose fibres reinforcing a solid gypsum matrix. The ground floor ceilings use a double layer of 10mm board fixed to Protektor's TPS 25 ceiling system to provide a quick to install solution.
Utilised on the upstair floors are the company's 2E31 dry screed elements which comprise two bonded layers of 10mm board pre-laminated with 10mm wood fibre board, laid on a timber or chipboard floor.
