Global Windows reach the finals in National Building and Construction Awards

Double glazing specialists Global Windows have made it to the finals of the celebrated National Building and Construction Awards.

Launched in 2019, and made up of 19 categories, the NBC Awards aim to raise the profile of industrious and enterprising building and construction businesses across the country, recognising excellence in the field.

The Sheffield-based company now stand a chance of winning in the ‘Contractor of the Year – contract value up to £1 million’ category, in recognition of a project where they replaced a house full of old timber sash windows with modern uPVC alternatives, upgraded the home’s large front timber vestibule door, and installed a Solidor composite stable door at the back of the house.

Global Windows Joint Managing Director Liam Hulme comments: “It’s such an honour to have reached the final stages of this prestigious national competition.

“The NBC Awards represent the very best in the UK’s construction industry, and to be named a finalist is a huge achievement for our team.

“We’ve worked incredibly hard over what’s been a very challenging period for the industry, and I’m very proud.”

NBC Awards Director Damian Cummins comments: “We recognise what a challenging year it has been for the building and construction industry, which makes this achievement even more special.

“We know that there are no secrets to success – it is the result of preparation, hard work and learning, and so being recognised as a finalist in these prestigious national awards reflects the success of this business over the past year.”

Global Windows specialise in uPVC windows and doors, composite doors, aluminium bi-folds and patio doors.

The company is a winner of the 2020 GGP Installer Awards, as well as a finalist in the 2021 G-Awards under the ‘Installer of the Year’ category.

Winners of the National Building and Construction Awards will be announced at a ceremony at the Hilton London Wembley on Thursday 18th November.
