Screwfix renovates charity in new campaign
Screwfix says it has taken a unique approach to launching its latest ‘Outdoor Projects’ range, recruiting an army of tradespeople to make vital repairs using the trade retailer’s tools and products to renovate a Devon-based charity.
Projects completed included everything from construction work and decking, to outdoor decorating and commercial landscaping. This meant that a huge variety of tools, workwear, outdoor machinery and products were put through their paces to make a real difference to the charity, which carries out work to help homeless and unemployed young people move on to positive, independent futures.
Not only has the project highlighted the depth of range available at Screwfix this spring, but the work has saved the charity thousands of pounds, and made it a better place for the young people who live there.
Caroline Welsh, director of brand and marketing, said: “We’re so proud to have helped The Amber Foundation out, the charity does great work within the community, helping young homeless people transform their lives. The core message of this campaign is that there are real tradespeople making a real difference in their communities, up and down the country, completing projects efficiently and to a high standard.”
The trade retailer prompts customers to “Start with Screwfix” for their outdoor projects this spring.
In addition to putting the tools to the test on site, photography captured during the renovation has also been used to develop the creative of all communications throughout the spring cycle, from front of house advertising to online. TV spots are also due to go live in the coming months.
