Interior landscaping specialists join forces through significant acquisition
Surrey-headquartered Nurture Landscapes has completed its second acquisition of the year through the purchase of interior landscaping specialist Indoor Garden Design (IGD).
Founded by Ed Wolf from a small Hampstead garage in 1975, IGD has been owned and run by David Grace, Pippa Robinson and Ian Drummond since 2013.
Indoor Garden Design has since grown to become one of the premier suppliers of premium quality, design-led planting schemes across London, bringing nature back into the workplace. The company counts the likes of Sky, WeWork and Apple amongst its impressive corporate client base, along with leading names in hospitality to complement Nurture’s own portfolio in the installation of plant displays at hotels, retail spaces and event venues as well as other settings in and around London.
Peter Fane, Nurture CEO, said: “We’re excited to be bringing Indoor Garden Design into the Nurture group – the company’s story is one that has been inspiring and draws parallels with our own. Joining the decades of experience from both teams together is something we are truly excited about.”
The acquisition, Nurture’s 28th overall, enhances both the companies’ presence across the UK and brings the respective expertise into one organisation.
IGD’s team of 50 staff will join the Nurture family and will initially continue trading as Indoor Garden Design from their Highgate premises in North London before moving key operations to Nurture’s Upminster site and rebranding as Nurture in the Autumn.
Commenting on the deal, Indoor Garden Designs’ directors said: “After over 40 years of growing Indoor Garden Design, we felt this was a good time to step away to allow further development with a larger organisation providing backing and security for our staff and clients. We believe Nurture is the perfect partner for IGD and we wish our fantastic team an exciting future.”
