DEKS adds Roof Tingle to SolarDek™ range to restore roof to original state with ease

DEKS has added the Roof Tingle to its popular SolarDek™ range, a one-piece slate fixing built to solve one of the most common headaches on a slate roof.
Roof Tingles are commonly used to repair areas where roofing slates have been removed, such as during SolarDek Hook Flash installations, or to replace broken or cracked slates.
What makes SolarDek Roof Tingle different is its simple, one-piece design, with no nails required to restore the roof to its original state.
The product was officially unveiled at the recent Solar & Storage Show at the NEC Birmingham, and Ollie Janes, Managing Director of DEKS Industries EMEA, said: “Unlike some fixing methods that can cause slates to lift, the Roof Tingle leaves slates in their natural position undisturbed.
“It bends fully over the edge and top of the slate, preventing movement in any direction without the need for nails, pulling springs or any upward pressure. It’s strong enough to do the job with ease.”
Made from 316 marine grade Stainless Steel and tested to BS 5534 Annex J, the Roof Tingle is engineered to perform in the toughest environments, including coastal and high-wind locations, and it’s been designed to outlast the roof itself.
As installers will need Roof Tingle when using its Hook Flash, DEKS has launched a new Hook Flash kit, combining 12 Hook Flash units with 36 Roof Tingles in a single box.
“It’s one box, one order, with everything needed for the job at hand, without having to juggle separate orders,” added Ollie. “If the Solar & Storage Show was anything to go by, we’re expecting installers to want these and Merchants to want them on their shelves.”
