MCS Group delivers service centre for trucks giant

Construction of a new service centre and workshop facilities for a truck company in Suffolk has been completed, main contractor MCS Group has announced.

MCS Group was awarded the design and build contract by Renault Trucks Commercials Ltd in a significant investment in the new facility at Hodgkinson Road, Felixstowe.

The Warwick-based company’s Fast Track division has delivered a new truck service centre and workshop with parts storage and ancillary areas. The project reached practical completion on schedule.

Andy Hall, MCS Group operations director and head of MCS Fast Track, said: “It’s fantastic to see this very high quality new facility for one of the world’s leading truck manufacturers completed and delivered on schedule. We’ve had very positive feedback from the client.

“The addition of solar panels, enhanced insulation, no natural gas for heating, and EV charging points have resulted in the most efficient and sustainable building in the Renault Trucks portfolio.”

He added: “Our MCS Fast Track division has extensive experience in the construction of showrooms and workshops for major motor manufacturers which is why so many trust our team with their key development projects.”
