Stronghold® shortlisted for Tomorrow’s Health & Safety Awards 2026
The innovative Stronghold® mobile anchor and barrier system has been shortlisted for the Tomorrow’s Health & Safety Awards 2026, which recognise and celebrate the most forward-thinking products and services driving safety standards across the UK.
Voting for the winner is now open and will close on Monday, March 9.
Developed by Daniel Cheddie, founder of the multi-award-winning and industry-recommended Sashmate®, the Stronghold® system represents a breakthrough in safe working at height. Designed from first-hand experience of the dangers faced by installers, Stronghold® eliminates the long-standing dilemma of choosing between safety and affordability when scaffolding is not viable.
The free-standing, tool-free system can be set up in under ten minutes to create a secure, high-visibility barrier around open edges such as windows or lift shafts. Fully compliant, it supports up to three harnessed workers and provides anchor points for tools, delivering maximum protection without the need for wall fixings or property damage.
“I’m absolutely delighted that Stronghold® has been recognised as a finalist for the Tomorrow’s Health & Safety Awards 2026,” said Daniel. “This nomination is a huge honour and it’s a great opportunity to showcase Stronghold® to the health and safety sector.
“It’s testament to my mission to make safe working at height accessible, affordable and achievable for everyone. Stronghold® isn’t just about innovation; it’s about saving lives and raising industry standards.”
Stronghold® is a cheaper alternative to scaffolding and champions safer, smarter working practices across fenestration, construction and facilities management.
