Tarmac Cement’s Blue Circle products support Band of Builders
Tarmac Cement has supported Band of Builders’ latest project by providing sponsorship and Blue Circle packed cement products to help transform the home of a widow in Lennoxtown, Scotland.
Band of Builders, a charity which reaches out to help fellow tradespeople in their hour of need, is carrying out work to renovate the family home of Elaine Dunphy and her four children following the death of Elaine’s husband Steve.
Steve began the huge task of transforming two houses into one, when the family was hit by a series of setbacks. Steve passed away last December before the renovation was complete and, determined to help the family, the group pulled together more than 50 trades experts to turn the half-complete house into a family home.
Discussing Tarmac Cement’s business support, Gareth Osborne, senior marketing manager, said: “Elaine and family have experienced real hardship over the years, so we we’re pleased to get involved and pledge our support. Importantly, the Band of Builders initiative perfectly shares Tarmac Cement’s ethos of solid family values – including supportiveness, trust and reliability.”
Elaine Dunphy said: “I couldn’t have got this done without Band of Builders, they’re wonderful. I feel like I’ve known them my whole life. It’s brilliant to have a company like Tarmac Cement to sponsor the project and to support a cause like Band of Builders. My boys are going to have a completed house for the first time, something I cannot put it words how much this means to be. My only regret is not getting in touch with them sooner, I want everyone to know about Band of Builders and the work they are doing as it has changed mine and my boys’ lives.”
Tarmac Cement’s Business’ support comes at a time where the business is shaping its core family values into a ‘One of the Family’ campaign for its Blue Circle packed cement range, highlighting that when it comes to having good, solid family values, Blue Circle has bags of them. The new campaign gives each individual product a family characteristic that is aligned to both the product’s features and the benefits they bring to the builders who use them.
