VOLOCO expands national footprint with new offices in Cambridgeshire
VOLOCO Construction Consulting continues its expansion by unveiling a new office in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, headed by new partner Kevin Robinson, in a move to bolster the group’s national reach and serve the east of the country. Its headquarters near Bristol is already home to a team of 10.
The firm provides bespoke flexible and responsive services such as quantity surveying (QS), commercial support, cost management, bid management, design management, graphics support, planning and programming, fully tailored for the construction industry
A senior quantity surveyor (QS), Robinson, has most recently worked for the Ministry of Defence (MOD) where he was responsible for overseeing UK projects. He brings with him over 30 years’ experience in a variety of construction sectors and has undertaken both commercial and project management roles throughout his career for firms such as Multiplex Construction, Wates Construction and Coulson & Son.
VOLOCO Construction Consulting was founded in 2014 to provide services to construction and development companies during peak workloads. Its office premises have recently been expanded ready for the reopening of working spaces and to accommodate the team, which has grown by seven in the last 12 months.
Ben Webb, CEO of VOLOCO, comments: “After such a successful 2020, it’s brilliant to be starting 2021 with a larger team and a new office in Cambridgeshire, which will help drive our growth in the east of England. Kevin is an experienced QS with a wealth of local knowledge, and he’s my first choice to lead our new operation.”
Robinson added: “I’m excited to be working with Ben again and establishing VOLOCO in the east. When he approached me with this great opportunity, I knew instinctively it was the right next step. I’m keen to provide support to companies in the east of England, an area I know inside out as it’s where I grew up. Working closely with the VOLOCO team I’ll be happy to extend their friendly and professional service to new clients.”
With a national pool of clients, such as ISG, Integral, Hexagon Construction, BECT and Brookes Property, the business supports small and growing contractors which don’t have the manpower or capabilities in-house.
