DEKS launches game-changing SolarDek™ Slate Flash

Flashing specialist DEKS has added Slate Flash to its SolarDek™ range, giving solar and roofing installers a new way to mount arrays onto slate roofs without removing a single slate and which adds zero pressure to the roof.

Developed with input from an experienced slate roofer, Slate Flash gives installers a universal, clean, quick and reliable fixing point with no angle grinding and the risks that come with lifting slates.

Ollie Janes, Managing Director of DEKS Industries EMEA, said the product tackles one of the biggest headaches installers face on slate roofs.

“Slate roofs have always been a bit of a minefield for solar installers,” said Ollie. “You’re either grinding, drilling or praying you don’t crack a slate on the way through. Slate Flash takes that risk out of the job completely and puts zero pressure on the roof covering.
