The Eclisse Classic range of pocket door systems comes complete with a full timber lining kit and requires finishing off with decorative architrave – but this is not the only style available. The Eclisse Syntesis Flush collection includes an architrave-free pocket door system, a concealed frame hinged door system and a skirting board adaptor that allows the skirting to be flush with the walls for a minimalist effect.
According to Eclisse, the Syntesis Flush pocket door system offers greater freedom in terms of the overall layout, because you don’t have to take into account the arc of a traditional hinged door, enabling greater freedom with the décor. Decorating the pocket door panel with the same design as the walls means the architrave-free pocket doors will blend into the background. Alternatively, a contrasting door leaf can be used to create a striking feature without architraves detracting from the overall effect.
Eclisse says that the beauty of the Eclisse Syntesis Flush pocket door system lies in its strength, practicality and space-saving capability. Some other systems have a preformed metal trim that wraps over the plasterboard to create the architrave-free edge, whereas the Syntesis Flush frame has an innovative edge profile that allows plaster to be applied up to the edge of the frame and into the return. This creates a ‘beautiful finish and a minimalist architrave-free appearance’ meaning the walls are not interrupted with door linings and architraves.
To avoid strains that can cause cracks in the plaster, it is important that architrave-free concealed frame products are strong and rigid. Unlike many other systems the Syntesis Flush range of products are assembled into a complete unit for installation and are designed to be strong with reinforced corners for rigidity. As with all Eclisse frames, the Syntesis Flush pocket door system also comes with a 15-year guarantee.
