New chair appointed for member-led Constructing Excellence South West

Kingsley Clarke, SCF Framework Operations Lead, has been appointed as the new Chair of Constructing Excellence South West (CESW), an organisation led by members from various roles and supply chains within construction.

In this new role, Kingsley will be responsible for spearheading CESW’s mission to improve the performance of the region’s construction industry through collaborative working. With a wealth of experience in managing contractor relationships and being a big believer in collaboration, Kingsley is well placed for this latest venture.

As Chair of CESW, Kingsley will work closely with the board, partners and members to deliver the new strategy developed by the previous Chair, Dan Macey, in a bid to reset and refocus the direction of travel for the organisation.

Following his appointment to Chair of CESW, Kingsley said: “Dan Macey has led CESW amazingly over the last two years and has made the necessary changes to redefine the organisation’s offering.

“I’m incredibly excited to step up to the challenge and positively lead CESW in a way which will build on all the hard work that Dan has done. I can’t wait to get stuck in and to work more closely with members and non-members at such a pivotal time for the industry.”

Kevin Harris, CEO of Constructing Excellence South West, said: “We look forward to working with Kingsley and believe his passion for collaboration will be instrumental as we roll out our latest strategy. As Chair he’ll be responsible for leading and supporting members and partners in a period of major opportunity for those working within the South West construction sector.”

CESW is an organisation which drives change across the construction sector in the south west region and offers incredible opportunities for like-minded professionals to network, share best practice and gain access to exclusive learning materials, guides and more.
