SuperFOIL nominated for prestigious business award

SuperFOIL Insulation, a leading supplier of multifoil insulation, has been nominated as finalist in a prestigious business awards.

The Lincoln-based firm has been shortlisted in the ‘Family Business of the Year’ category in the national Scale Up Awards 2023, organised by Business Leader magazine.

The awards, to be held in London on November 16, celebrate those companies which have grown year-on-year in either employment or total sales.

SuperFOIL was set up by father and son team Craig and Will Bown, inspired by their own self-build experiences. Frustrated by what he saw as inferior insulation, Craig decided to make his own multifoil and the business was born.

As well as financial growth, SuperFOIL has expanded both physically and in terms of its team. From 19 employees in 2020 to almost 63 to date, the company moved to its current five-acre headquarters in 2019. Currently, SuperFOIL is producing 1.5million square metres of insulation per year.

Will Bown took over as Managing Director in 2017.

He said: “We’re delighted to be nominated for this award. The SuperFOIL business is so much a part of the Bown family, and the interests of the family and the business are very much the same.

“It’s always an honour to be nominated for an award, and we want to thank everyone who works to make SuperFOIL the success that it is.”
