Colour blend for refurb
A major refurbishment project for The Gateshead Housing Company by Milbank Architects has used Forticrete's Gemini roof tiles to cost-effectively replicate traditional clay plain tiles.
Some 77,000 tiles in 'mixed russet' colour blend were used in the project that involves the modernisation of 44 one-bedroom bungalows. Forticrete's dry-fix detailing has also been chosen to minimising future maintenance work.
Gemini is an interlocking 'twin tile' that gives the appearance of two traditional plain tiles when laid.
The tiles feature a blend of two colours, randomly applied to create the aesthetic appeal of clay says the company.Enquiry number: 01244
