New range of ‘smart’ trousers a good fit for workers

Well known for its modern designs, innovative features and high levels of fabric technology, Snickers Workwear has taken a second definition of the word ‘smart’ and incorporated this into the latest range of trousers.

While the trousers are smart in appearance, they are even smarter thanks to the integration of technology to improve performance and wellbeing at work.

According to the company, repeated ‘corner cutting’ over a period of years can create a long-term health problem – an issue that Snickers Workwear has been continually addressing with its KneeGuard System.

‘Tracker 1’ is Snickers’ first prototype of wearable technology. A chip fitted to a pair of Work Trousers enables the user to monitor work place noise levels, heat conditions and knee impact.

Snickers is also renowned for its KneeGuard System, 37.5 Fabric Technology and technical functionality, but the integration of ‘smart’ wearable technology into the clothing emphasis the extent to which it is looking at working clothes and the wellbeing of operatives on site in a completely new way.
