Tiling systems manufacturer celebrates 25 years in the UK

Over the past quarter of a century, Schlüter says it has had a ‘considerable influence’ on British installation processes for tile and stone, contributing to the formation of British Standards for the tiling industry as part of The Tile Association (TTA) committee. The introduction of uncoupling membranes as a standard feature to maintain a crack-free covering is said to be Schlüter’s ‘foremost innovation’ and the company says it has also supported the writing of numerous technical documents for TTA and the Stone Federation.

Joachim Backes, managing director of Schlüter-Systems, said: “During our first 25 years, we have cultivated a reputation not only for quality and reliability, but also for educating customers as to best practice in the use of tile and stone.

“I am delighted to be at the helm as we celebrate our silver anniversary and am confident that this achievement will pave the way for many more milestones to come.”

Two Schlüter showrooms were opened in 2017: 45-49 Leather Lane in Clerkenwell, London, and The Application Gallery at Schlüter’s Coalville headquarters.

A new Google 360 virtual tour is now available for prospective customers to tour the Schlüter premises and view its products at www.exploreschluter.co.uk.
