Achieve this on-trend look in the bathroom with Dekton Slim by Cosentino
2019 is the year of going bold with bathroom design, with the trend for extra-large slabs and tiles set to be key, according to Cosentino.
Cosentino has launched a new 4mm thickness for its ultra-compact surface brand, Dekton, which is ideally suited to achieving this look. Consisting of six colours initially, the new Dekton Slim product range offers the opportunity to clad larger areas in a quicker and more cost-effective manner, delivering the same hard-wearing benefits of Dekton.
With potential buyers expecting materials and fittings of the highest quality, from brand names they can recognise and rely on, the new Slim range of surface coverings from Cosentino offer designers, house builders and developers a simple way to create an on-trend look without breaking the budget.
Dekton Slim surfaces are available in slab sizes up to 3200x1400mm. With fewer joints needed, this is said to result in a premium look with added practical benefits. It is also great for showing off a statement design, such as Opera, which has wow-factor veining emulating premium natural marble.
Ideal for use in the bathroom, Dekton Slim offers the same technical properties as standard Dekton, including a high-resistance to scratches, staining and low porosity, all ensuring easy cleaning. For properties designed with tenancy in mind, these benefits provide the peace of mind of longevity and product warranties. What’s more, due to its thin thickness and ultra-lightweight properties (10kg/m2), the Slim surfaces are easier to cut and transport, reportedly making it possible to save money on installation.
Christopher Hay, national sales manager for Cosentino UK, said: “At Cosentino, we’re proud of our commitment to innovation and pushing the boundaries of surface design. Launched at the beginning of this year, we are already seeing a strong positive response to our new 4mm Dekton Slim range of surfaces, which is reflective of the time we take when developing these new products. We are continually reviewing our offering in line with current trends and demands, working with housebuilders to understand their needs and expectations. All of our teams have a wealth of knowledge for each stage of the process, including a team of 14 commercial project managers, two technical managers and a central London architectural studio in Clerkenwell. This is supported by a strong network of seven regional Cosentino Centres. We’re proud to be known for providing a consistent, reliable and valuable service, with the latest in surface technology, and we look forward to seeing Slim used in leading developments nationwide.”
The six initial colours available in the Slim range include Opera, Zenith, Sirocco, Kelya, Sirius and Kreta.
