Saniflo Kinedo cubicle provides solution for homeless shelter
A Saniflo Kinedo shower cubicle is providing showering facilities in a Bristol homeless shelter. The Kinedo Eden features in a Newspace Sleepover Pod, inspired by the work of ‘Help Bristol’s Homeless’ charity.
The Saniflo Kinedo Eden was reportedly selected thanks to its ease and simplicity of installation. With no requirement for tiles, grout or silicone, the Eden can be installed in just a few hours and once connected to a water source is ready for use.
Mike Judge from Newspace is delighted with the new addition to the bathroom. He said: “We are saving time in our manufacturing process with the Eden. It’s an integrated package that includes the tray, the shower valve, shower head and handheld valve, plus the door and panels. This means we also save time by taking delivery of a single box rather than bringing all the separate elements together before the fix. We also do not have to specify and order all the individual elements, so that helps too. It’s also a stunning shower and really upgrades the bathroom.”
Positioned as a modular housing solution the sleepover pod arrives on site ready-built after fabrication in Newspace’s Lydney factory. The concept is now being pitched to local authorities as a quick, cost-effective and short-term solution to alleviate homelessness.
The beautifully designed Newspace sleepover pod contains two bedrooms, a small communal living area and kitchen, along with a bathroom and the integrated Kinedo cubicle.
